A Pregnant Pause in Nashivlle

I was staying at a nearby hotel and decided to walk down to Deja Vu and check out for myself the "dismal" Nashville strip club scene. I'm someone who can pretty much have a good time wherever I am. This was no exception. I had a good time in the box I was confined in.

Deja Vu sits on the other side of the highway west of downtown Nashville. The entrance is on a side street and as I walked in, the security guy was on me like ants on candy. He was friendly, maybe too friendly on the pat down. He checked my ID (can't remember if he scanned it) and gave me the rundown on the rules. There's a 3-foot rule from any naked dancer. This place is 18+ and the dancers are full-nude on stage, but you have to stay 3-feet away. Lap dances and VIP are clothed. You can have alcohol in the upstairs VIP rooms, however.

As the security was giving me this nice welcome to the club, I showed the girl in the cage my discount email. I think the normal cover was $25, but the discount made it $11. I walk in to the left where the "bar" is and an empty room with a stage (I'm told it gets used on weekends when the club is more packed) and tables and chairs. Here's there's a slightly drunk wannabe fat cat douchebag customer loudly complaining about the practice of charging a percentage (10 or 15%? I forget) for changing larger bills into singles. Hey, I don't like this practice either, but don't be an asshole and berate the employees who have no choice about it. This one girl was visibly shaken by this guy's annoying rant.
