Nashville is not the right city for this hobby

I had been to this club 2-3 years and had a decent, albeit fairly tame, time so was hopeful to repeat on a recent three night work trip to Nashville. I ubered over to the club. Stopped into a nearby liquor store for some drinks since Deja Vu Nashville is BYOB.

I was there on a Tuesday evening. $22 cover charge. A bit steep but since they're not making money on drinks they get you a bit on cover. When I arrived it was kinda slow even at about 9 pm. At first, dancing was happening in the small, lower room near the bar. About an hour later when a few more patrons showed up, they moved the dancing and customers to larger, upper level of the club. On stage dances they do get topless and nude which is nice. No tipping allowed up close. You have to toss tip onto the stage. Later in the evening I was at their sister club Hustler and saw a guy get berated for getting too close when tossing dollars toward the girl. The female bartender yelled across the room - 'get behing the yellow line!' which is literally taped or painted on to the floor. But I digress....

The Deja Vu club itself is a decent layout. The girls were a mix of white, AA and maybe one or two Latina. There were about 8-10 girls there altogether. The website promotes $10 dances on Tuesday but all the girls said that they are actually $15. I didn't mind $15 - it's still not a lot but the weird/false advertising is lame. They did announce 3 for $30 about once an hour so maybe that's their way to claim that their ad is legit. Whatever.
