Interesting Monday afternoon visit

I go exclusively during the afternoon shift, and most often on Monday or Tuesday because the line-up is usually quite good. Arrived at 12:30 the first Monday of this month, entered to find, as always, the bad bathroom to the left, the bar straight ahead, and the open seating area to the right with the VIP room beyond that. This is where I usually settle in, but on this visit I stayed by the bar for a half hour, close to the cash register. It was interesting.

I had never paid attention to the "protocol" that was followed with how the dancers paid out their fees to the management after each VIP event. Immediately after leaving the VIP session the dancer would stop by the bartender at the cash register and hand over what looked like a 5 or a 20, depending on if it was a single dance or one of the 5-4-100 "specials." This is probably something that other patrons have long known, but I've never noticed before nor remember reading in previous reviews. Nothing profound, but just something that was interesting to me.

Anyway, back to some specifics. As always, no doorman as you walk in, and no cover. My Modelo was still $6, and I typically lay down $7-8 and sometimes get a recognition of some sort for the modest tip, other times not. I wasn't greeted by any dancer on my way from the entrance to the bar, but a few did stop by for the "wanna dance" or "buy me a drink" requests. I declined the first because I wasn't very interested in those particular dancers and, secondly, I just don't do the drink thing because I like to use my money for dances in the VIP.
