Diamonds Dancing

For the past few months, Diamonds has been my go to strip club when I’m downtown. This review will encompass my last few visits.

Diamonds is located in Downtown Portland, it’s a couple blocks down from Club Rouge, and the next building down from Golden Dragon, so 3 clubs within a 2 minute walk. Diamonds opens at 7pm till 2 or 2:30 every day. I believe on Sunday and Monday it’s a 5 buck cover all night, the rest of the week it’s a 5 buck cover before 9 o clock, then a 10 buck cover afterwards. The bouncer checks your ID and gives you a pat down, I believe they do the pat down at all the downtown clubs.

My main complaint about Diamonds is that there is not a lot of seating, so when it gets a little busy you will be standing. There are two stages, the girls do two song sets. The bar is kinda long, drink prices were on par for downtown prices, which are higher than the dive bars. A mixed drink will run you 8 or 9 bucks. Music was mainly hip hop and top 40 pop from what I remember, but then again I wasn’t thinking about the music. Crowd seemed to be somewhat on the younger side but not too young, late 20’s to late 30’s.
