Classy but stale.
The first thing I noticed was The Saint James looks out of place. The place is across the street from nothing on a semi-busy road not far off I-45 north. The street has several low end strip malls and industrial buildings around it. However, when you pull in the lot there is a grecco-roman type building with Greek statues and well maintained landscaping. A huge parking lot (Free) with valet service if you want.
I walk inside pay the door girl $10 to enter and walk through the metal dector. Just as nice inside. High back club chairs and round tables with white tablecloth. The main stage ahead as you walk in. It has 2 sets of stars behind it. There is also 2 smaller stages. Only the main stage working while I was there.
Waitress greeted me as soon as I sat down. Got a water for $7. They have a full bar (2 bars in fact) but it was lunch time. I know wine was $11. The DJ played a variety of music. Not too loud., meaning you could have a conversation.
