Not KC BBQ, but still Finger-lickin' Good

[Prologue - I had gone to the Pierpont bar in Union Station for happy hour and starting talking up this drunk woman in KC for a conference. The first thing I look for in a woman is intelligence, because - if they don't have that - then, I know they might be mine. This not-so-bright civilian took me back to her room at the Sheraton and emptied my bazooka of all its ammunition. Being the PL that I am, I blew her off for dinner later that evening and instead went to Bazookas for some reconnaissance. Here is that recon report.]

Based upon other TUSCL reviews for Kansas City, my expectations were low.

Bazookas is convenient to the touristy area of Kansas City and is a short walk up Main Street from Union Station, and is near several good bars and restaurants. It kind of sticks out on Main Street with its glass facade. Entering, a cute gnd-type was behind the counter and took my $20 cover charge. She gave me a paper ticket like they used to do at movie theaters ten years ago. There were escalators going somewhere, but the entrance to the club was around the escalators to the left and through some big doors. A guy inside ripped my ticket and gave me the stub. I guess this ticket stub gives in-and-out priviliges if you want to go somewhere for a beer - no alcohol in this club.
