Big price increases, but still maybe the best value in Memphis.

Review in my standard format starting with the things that have changed, followed by a typical review including all the repeats from earlier reviews. If you have been to the club before, probably no reason to read that second part. I stopped by Candyland on a Wednesday evening in mid August. The club is now closed on Monday and Tuesday for construction/repairs. 1) They have new chairs, but now just two screens. One was showing porn the other regular TV. 2) Girls: I arrived at about 8:00 and was surprised that there were 3 pretty good looking girls already there. All three seemed to be in their ‘20s with athletic builds. All AA as is typical for the place. 3) Customers: There were 2 other guys there, so three dancers and three customers at 8:00 Wednesday evening 4) VIP: Dancers were asking $25/song, but the big change is that the price to get into the private room is now like $3/minute paid in advance. So I had to pay $45 to get into the VIP which is way more expensive than previous visits when it costs $20. I guess they need to pay for the construction bill. On the one hand it is probably cheaper than most other VIP rooms, but it is not really a room, just a booth seat with a curtain. 5) Caramel sat down with me after I arrived, and she seemed to be the best looking of the three dancers. Five foot five with a fit body and full natural B cups, but not as much hips and booty as I usually like. She also made it clear that she was a pro in the booth. No sex or oral per club rules, but otherwise she was game. I did have a good experience in the VIP, but between the higher booth charge, and Caramel up charging me, I spent way more money than I ever have at Candyland. On the one hand Caramel really is a pro, she did good work and wants to get paid. On the other hand, most Candyland dancers include her upcharges with the $25/song fee. 5) I am not sure if I will be back. At the price I paid, I can have a better time at one of the strip club bars in town. Maybe if I was in a hurry I would choose Candyland, but not a great environment to hang out.

Pro forma review in classic style edited from previous reviews. No need to read if you have been to the club, or even read previous reviews. Candyland is the smallest strip club I have entered in the US. It is probably about 30 ft x 25 ft in size. Parking is usually available right in front of the club. As you enter the owner/manager takes your money ($20), security pats you down, and you go through the curtain to the club room which has two small (but recently improved) stages, about 20 chairs (recently upgraded) on the sides of the room , with 3 small tables that are moved as needed, and there are three private dance booths with curtains separating them from the view of the main club. There are several flat screens showing porn, and one that is usually showing something else (NBA, or a Cinemax movie). In the VIP booth, the seating is not comfortable, but I did notice they have handles in the wall next to the seat for the dancer can hold on while grinding on the customer-- Nice touch. The men's room was clean enough, considering the general state of the club, not bad at all. Prices. $20 cover, a $45+ VIP admission fee, and a 10% tax on change for singles. No alcohol this time, but a coke was $2. Floor dances for "whatever you want to pay." maybe $10 on average, and they are mostly clothed (at least what passes for clothes here). The VIP dances were $25/song for the dancer plus the $45 VIP admission. In the VIP, it seemed the only club rules were no sex or oral sex, but the dancers vary on what they allow. No FIV, no bare grind/stripper slide, no mess on the girl are the most common No's I have encountered, but dancers vary with some having no additional rules. VIP was full nude, and it seemed that customer satisfaction was not guaranteed, but expected, as there were wet wipes available. It seemed that some girls did try to upsell for mild extras, but that seemed to vary with the dancer.
