I stopped in at the Pink Palace the other day. The place has been described endlessly, so we can skip ahead on that. The dollar parade, awful as always. A variety of ladies passed by, doing the old barside handshake and requesting the usual donations. A few asked for additional donations, but I’m tired of this nonsense and decided to be direct - “I’ve already given you a dollar, and I’m not interested in a dance with you, so move along. I’m waiting for someone else
