Lafayette comes from the french word la faieta meaning beech forest
Broussard, LA. South of Lafayette. Friday night. Coming from Baton Rouge. Figured I'd stop. This place looks real nice and it is on the inside. Sort of industrial drag right here, plenty of parking in the lot. Pretty freindly bald white guy inside. I believe cover was $15 and ID check. In you go. Right here on the left is the dance area, It's just community booth room it looks like. It has a sign with all the dance prices posted right out front. IIRC I believe dances were $30 a song. Keep walking, big bar on the back wall, just past that, bathrooms are on the left, then you got the stage and seating all around, and most folks were in the elevated seating area if you hook right when coming in.
The club is a like a big warehouse with a high ceiling. Real upscale. Customers were white guys and groups of hispanic guys. Felt pretty slow though. Only one girl up at a time on stage, nobody tipping or really paying attention, the only sign of life were the groups at the tables in the elevated area.
Dancers. I wasn't that impressed. You would think it would be a little better with this type of club. Mostly 6's around. Various body types. Black, hispanic and white. Mostly natural that I saw. It didn't feel like a big lineup, no more 15 girls at the most. To me if this is Friday night, I just can't recommend it. Don't get me wrong nothing horrific but just nothing high end to make me want to do dances. I left to go west on I-10.
