Anniversary Party Was Nice - Glad I Went
It's a bit of a drive for me to get to Providence, but business sometimes has me going to (or through) Rhode Island, so I always to stop by when I can. Last Wednesday, I was planning to drop into Desires because it had been a while. Just before I left, I saw Nelly's posting, letting us know about the anniversary party (Thanks, Nelly!); admission comes with a free VIP card which allows free entrance (no cover charge). So, I figured why not stop in at Foxy Lady instead.
First, a little bit about the club: It's set back a ways from the main road, farther down a hill. If you don't know that it's there, you'll miss the driveway all together. A previous reviewer mentioned that he missed the driveway, and ended up turning onto a highway 'on-ramp'; same thing happened to me my first time there (several years ago), and I'm betting that this is pretty common. You end up on the highway, and go all the way around Providence before you get back to Foxy. It's a pretty long ride, so don't let this happen to you!
Once you get into the complex, there are several parking lots, some paved, and some gravel. The gravel lot is closer to the front door, but it was pretty full, so I parked a little farther down the hill, in a paved lot. Walked up to the top floor, paid the $10 entrance fee, got my VIP card, and went through the turnstile. Foxy Lady is a pretty large club. There is a small bar in front of you, when you walk in; it seats maybe 20 people. The stage is to the left of the bar, and is surrounded by a fair number of seats. Small tables (2-3 chairs) surround the stage, and are set a little farther back. Behind these seats are many booths. They take up most of the club, but most people were sitting closer to the stage. There is another bar in the far back corner, behind even more tables. The lighting is dark, and the club has a very upscale look.
