Club Rouge has been the club I’ve gone to the most in Portland over the past year or so. This review is a summary of my visits.

Club Rouge is in downtown Portland, so there’s no parking lot. You have to have to park on the street or a paid parking lot. The vast majority of time you can find street parking. There is a credit union ATM a couple blocks down from Rouge, use that one if you want/need to withdraw money (no withdrawal fee). If you use the ATM at Rouge, it’s a $10 withdrawal fee! When you get to Rouge, the bouncer gives you a pat down and ID check. They WON’T let you in with basketball shorts or sweatpants. They’ll let you in with shorts if they’re nice like Khakis or something. Cover charge is $10 all day Tuesday through Saturday, and $5 cover charge all day Sunday and Monday. The club opens at 5 pm every day and closes at 2 am.

You walk in, there is VIP seating to the right of you (I believe it’s $100 bucks for those seats) and normal seating scattered throughout the club. Decent sized club. It’s an upscale club vibe. There is a bar across from the DJ booth. Unfortunately there are no seats at the bar. Drinks are average prices, $6 for a Corona, $9 for a vodka cranberry, $8 for a rum and coke, etc. They have Absolut 4 dollar drink specials on Sunday, Grey Goose specials on Tuesday, and I think something else on Mondays, but I can’t remember. There are lottery machines close to the DJ booth, I think there’s around 6 lottery machines. Customer wise on the weekends it’s more of people in their 20’s and 30’s. On the weeknights it sways to more older customers. On a Friday and Saturday night they’ll generally have 3 or so waitresses on the floor with 2 bartenders.
