With TUSCL being down, this is a late strip club adventure from last week. I decided to make a stop at Scarlet Lounge last Wednesday since it had been awhile and to see if anything had changed. They were closed earlier this year for some work on the club, but not much had changed from what I could see. This club is not on my regular rotation of clubs since the lap dance opportunities have dried up after the ownership change during COVID.

I pulled in to an empty lot around noon with only two cars and I recognized one who I think belongs to the bartender. The lot is somewhat shared with another business on the other side. I sat in my vehicle pondering if I should just move on since it was empty, but decided to check it out since I was there. Glad I did, as there were five dancers listed on the board, which is located right in the entry way. I have never paid a cover fee, had my ID check, or seen a bouncer at this club. It is a fairly small typical dive club and the inside looks better than the outside. There is a covered patio. You can’t get lost in this place and has a few lotto machines for folks that like to make donations to the state. It also has a full bar.

I walked in, headed straight to the bar, and got a $3 coke. There was a dancer on stage (no other mongers in the club), and a couple dancers at the bar, which I got a smile and a “hi.” I have a love/hate relationship with the small rack (stage) here. It sits just a few inches off the ground with no rail. Where do you put your drink (on the floor and far enough away so a dancer won’t kick it or just hold it? On the flip side, it makes it extremely easy for dancers to just plop in your lap. A positive, they finally upgraded the chairs, which there are five around the stage. There are a few high table/chairs scattered about. There are also three curtained lap dance booths, which are semi-private with the three-sided curtains. If your dance isn’t going well and there is someone in the next booth, at least you can catch their conversation. Two of the booths have loveseat couches and one has a full-length couch against the outer wall. I’m not sure the purpose of this one, since the lap dance action is barely R rate these days. There are signs in the booth stating “Minimum Dance Price $30.” Three of the five dancers caught my interest on this trip, so I decided to do a test drive each in hopes of at least getting a takeout offer. I got a tour of all three booths and there are cameras.
