Slow evening/night for a usually top quality place

Been doing this thing where I go to Del's early in the evening and just hang out the whole night. Not sure it's working for me. In the afternoon, the place is dead. Few customers. Few Girls...just dead. I sat alone and mostly just drank and smoked. It really was not worth it. I had a concert a couple miles away around 8, so I ducked out and came back. Chick at the front desk remembered me so I didn't have to pay cover, which was nice. The later night was busier with more and cuter girls. However, the hustle was not there. Any night where you spend more on drinks than dances is not a good night. What ever happened to a high pressure sales environment? On the whole, it was a disappointing showing from my all-time favorite club.

The usual...Delilahs is one of those classier type places, though it has definitely mellowed over the years. It can usually be relied upon to apply a standard to the talent, which means I rarely seen an ugly girl...which is what you want in a club. The drinks are pricy...this economy was a bear...and I think some girls were even asking for $30/dance...I get that times are tough but $20/dance is sacred on a spiritual level. The place is nice, clean..the staff is polite and without drama or power trips. Can usually find a seat if I arrive before 10 pm. On the whole, it is, for me, the default strip club experience...sometimes you want something a little dirtier or a strange story but usually you just want a clean, comfortable place to drink, smoke a cigar, watch the ladies go by and maybe have a dance or two. Delilah's can usually be relied upon to be that place.
