Alone in an empty room

I have to be in Cedar Rapids for work frequently, and I always stay at the hotel that's walking distance from Dancer's Ranch. I always pop in when I visit just because I'm so close and it gets weirder and weirder every time.

My last visit was on a Thursday night in February. Snow was on the ground and the two minute walk to the place was mind numbingly cold. There was no one at the door asking for a cover, so I went in. Inside, it definitely has the feel of a locals bar. There's a long stage but no one was dancing, and. the dancing always seems random. Theirs no music unless someone feeds the digital juke box. Most patrons and girls gather around the bar and drink.

I sat at an empty table after getting my cheap beer. Maybe it was the weather but the club seemed empty as hell, with about 10 customers and three girls around. After a while, one of the girls approached me. She was on the bigger side, with curly hair, but not obese. She was seemed unwell and was coughing a lot. I declined her offers for a dance.
