Belated December Review

I feel a bit bad about waiting so long to post this, but I found out that when the website went live again I wasn't able to reset my account. In any case, I tried today and it worked. This review covers what I came across at HK in mid-December, covering thu/fri/sat.

For those that often fly in to TIJ, they have done away with the old taxi stand and now have taxi starters. It's now a total ripoff and they want 450 pesos to go to HK. I was in the long line and stupidly agreed to get on a ride share bus to save time. It didn't result in a refund of some of my money and probably ended up taking as long as waiting in the line. Lesson learned.

I was surprised to see a fair bit of new construction, both in the alley and in (the former) Chavelas. I noticed that there's a small new hotel (or a spruced-up old hotel) right across from the back entrance to the bar now, and I'm curious if anyone has details on it.
