Pretty Much What I've Come To Expect From This Place
Hadn't been to a club in probably a year, so when I found myself near Toledo Saturday I decided to see what I've been missing at this club. Turns out it ain't much.
I stopped at Roxy Showgirls at 9:40 to a parking lot occupied by very few cars. Last time I was here it was The Trophy Club, and I was surprised to see yet another name change. But the sign said "Full Nude," which was new. Once inside, I saw there was still a metal detector, although it wasn't in use, and there was no guy to give me a pat-down. The pretty door girl charged me $10 cover, scanned my ID (boo!), and wrote something on the back of my hand, telling me that this would get me in free at Platimum down the street should I choose to wander over there later.
I entered the main room, which has a bar to the right, a 2-pole stage to the left, and at the far end of the room is a smaller 1-pole stage. There are a dozen TVs on the walls, and And aside from the young bartender, it was completely desolate. The music was the usual R&B and Hip Hop, played louder than it needed to be. Since the bar is now full nude, there's no alcohol, although the door girl said it's BYOB, as long as you don't bring your alcohol in the bottles; a flask or other container is apparently fine. Weird laws, but okay.
