Fun scene, friendly girls, but not great value for dances

Was after midnight but not yet ready to go home so swung by to see what it was like inside. Have driven by many times. Pumps is near the Brooklyn Queens border in a semi industrial area but with an increasing number of other bars and clubs nearby. Parking is a bit tough, seems like many people park semi illegally and risk it nearby.

Walk in and bouncer scans ID and pats you down. No cover. Turns out I walked into a birthday party for one of the dancers, balloons and banners up. There were about twenty girls and at least that many guys at the bar or some small tables behind. Many just chatting with each other or the girls. About three at a time were dancing behind the bar. The place is like a fun dive bar atmosphere. Beers were $9.

Whereas some of the Manhattan clubs seem to have all slim dancers with hot bodies but sometimes not so good looking in the face up close, the girls at pumps all seemed to be young and cute in the face, but a mix of body types. Mostly white girls with a smattering of tattoos.
