Exceeded expectations

It’s no secret the SC scene has been on a downtrend for years now, especially the happy hour vibe from back in the day. So I found myself around the Tomvall area on a Friday afternoon and after checking traffic to go home I decided to try my luck at splendors and maybe kill some time. 10 years ago I worked in the area and would usually stop by and on Fridays to wait out traffic just like today so I said fuck it, let’s check it out.

My expectations were low, but when I arrived the parking lot while not full was decently busy, that’s always a good sign. Parking was free and walked in to pay 8 dollars cover, and I was notified HH drink specials are 5 bucks. Not bad at all. As soon as you walk in there is the main stage with a waterfall in the background that was actually working this time. The bar is on the right side of the main stage so made a v line to the bar. There were a few group of guys sitting on the tables and most looked like they had just left work and were there to unwind after a long week.

The main LD area is a darker area that is located immediately to the right as you walk in, I say darker but not really dark so it not a place for shenanigans I’m sure. That kind of fun is for VIP that is on the balcony / second floor overlooking the main stage and seating area.
