Not great but I'd be open to trying one more time

I didn't have high expectations for this place based on reviews that I've seen over time however I've always wanted to check this place out. I recently went around 5:30 pm on a Thursday. It's named the Cellar for a reason. To enter, you walk down a flight of stairs. Upon entry you are greeted with the scent of a musty bar that was probably smoked in a lot prior to Illinois banning indoor smoking. I didn't mind that too much to be honest but it does give you a feel for the joint.

The older woman at the bar (Kim?) took my $5 cover and charged $5 for a domestic bottle of beer. I was the only customer and upon entry, no girls in sight. The place is sufficiently dark and spread out and it appears as though there would be plenty of nooks or private areas for dances if anyone was so inclined. A woman did emerge after a couple of minutes and joined me at the bar. I say woman since she must have been 50ish and about 5 6" and 180+ pounds. She seemed nice enough and made small talk while proposing dances three or so times during my first and only beer. I had someone to meet for dinner so didn't have a lot of spare time but I couldn't accept a dance from this woman. If I'd pass on a free one from her why would I pay $20/song which is what she proposed. The ladies at the bar said that on weekends they typically have 4-5 dancers at night. I won't be rushing back but I wouldn't rule it out altogether if I was ever in the area on a busier night.
