Black Friday Blues

Going to the club around the holidays be hit or miss. But I decided it might be better than black Friday shopping. Plus I had an out-of-town guest asking about making a trip.

Early afternoon afternoon, the place was pretty bad. Like many holidays, there were unfamiliar faces who were picking up extra shifts or something there. Add in the fact, several of the dancers who are mothers weren’t there either because they’re out shopping for Christmas gifts or they did not have childcare made me feel almost like a stranger in the club that I frequented for several years.

We took a seat, not too far off the main stage. The secondary stage to the right wasn’t being used which is typical of the dayshift. We were able to see a few dancers hit the state, but none really we’re doing it for me. Hispanic legend swung by the table. I was a little embarrassed when she said out loud that none of my regulars were working. Her comments got a look from my companion.
