Good Visit That Ended Badly

Went on an early Monday afternoon earlier this month. Small crowd at first, but by 1:00 dancers and patrons were filtering in more and more than during the previous hour. Ordered my Modelo at the bar and just survey the scene for a bit and declined the first couple of dancers that stopped by.

Interestingly, when I made my way to the bathroom to take a leak and noticed something that I had overlooked on my several previous visits: a sign to the left of the urinal stating something to the effect of "Those players with shorter bats need to stand closer to the plate." It looked like a very old sign, but I'd not noticed it before. As an older guy who might occasionally dribble in my shoe, I stepped up to the plate!

No need to comment any further on the decor of this establishment since I and many other posters have done so in detail over the years. About the only improvement are the "throws" over the furniture, and those are now in place probably for almost a year now. After returning from the bathroom I took my second Modelo over to the seats along the south wall to continue surveying the scenery. About that time Sofia, a petite blonde who I've had dances with on previous visits, stopped over to snuggle up and get friendly. Shortly thereafter we went back for the 5-4-100. As always, she aims to please and certainly did so once again today.
