Better Than Expected

The notion of a no-extras, no-alcohol club rubs me the wrong way. While I would certainly prefer both, it seems reasonable to expect to at least get one or other other. When you add on top of this the fact that you access this "Club" via a sex shop, it seems like a recipe for failure. I was therefore fully prepared and expecting to hate this place, and actually went there loaded with the ire I still held following my experience at the abomination that is Castaways, some 20 miles to the north in Duncannon, PA. However, this place actually managed to pull things off, sort of.

Adult World is on a busy highway in northern Harrisburg. The massive Adult World sign seems like it would be visible from a half-mile off in either direction. An easy turn into the parking lot if you are headed west. If you're going east, you'll have to find a place to make a U-Turn.

Plenty of parking, much of which is behind a fence, for those who prefer privacy. You enter the sex shop, and straight in front of you is a wall featuring a selection of BDSM outfits and accessories. There is an opaque glass door on that wall amongst the whips and shackles with a handwritten sign that says "Club". You pay $15 to the proprietress at the checkout counter off to the left. She'll also hook you up with one-dollar bills, which you'll need.
