Always average, getting better, but never a waste

It has been a while since I've gone to Rosewood but decided to give it another try. I do not like the entrance process. To begin with, they scan your ID. Admission is then a function of whether you have an invite, and whether you want a wristband for VIP access. If you have an invite, admission is free. If you have the email, it's $20. If you have neither, it's $40. This doesn't strike me like it's still a members only club and it has lost long its appeal as one - so not sure why admission is such a hassle. Separately, if you are in the $40 admission category, you can pay an extra $60 to get access to the VIP area with a wristband. If you don't get the wristband, the upsell is $100 later. In the past, i was able to get a wristband inside for $20 and found the VIP area in back pretty worthless. I passed on the wristband. You also have to fork over $5 for coatcheck and it was cold that evening.

Once inside, I proceeded to the bar which is also kind of a hassle because you really can't get to the bar because it's always 2-3 people deep. So once you get in, there really is nowhere to survey the area and the girls. This place has been described many times, but this is not a traditional club with dancers on stage or pole. The girls stand around, are approachable, and if you are interested will sit on a couch in the lounge area. Because there is nowhere to stand, the sharks immediately try to intercept you but it's a little uncomfortable because other than a couple of stools there is nowhere to sit. It's unclear to me if you can sit in the lounge area without a girl.

The other thing I noticed after talking to a couple of girls is they tend to get hotter as the night goes on. Apparently the earlier you arrive, the less of a house fee the girls pay. As such, the hotter girls who know they can book dances tend to show up later. I got there at 9 and it was sparsely attended. More girls and patrons definitely showed up later towards midnight. Diverse mix of young girls including black, white, latin and asian. Some annoying "wanna dance" eastern european types but you get that anywhere.
