Unfortunately not a fun time, this trip...

This used to be my favorite club in Minnesota, but after my last trip there I'm not sure how soon I want to go back. I think I had only been here one time since the Pandemic, and I honestly had a lot of fun on my prior visit, but this time not so much.

The girls--as a group--were not as cute as they were a few years (or 6 months) ago. The hottest was an 8, and she was a 20-something brunette who looked really good. She wasn't model-hot, but she was very hot-girl-next-door hot. The problem was that even though she gave a nice 3-song dance (for $120 or something?), she repeatedly asked if I wanted to tip her. I'm not just talking about at the end of the dance. After our (admittedly, very good) 3-song set was done, I tipped her, said "thank you," and went back to my seat. She came down and sat next to me at my table on the floor for... I don't know... maybe at most a song's-length, and as I preparing to leave the club (because I already had dances from the two hottest girls) she asked me if I wanted to tip her, again, just for her talking to me.

I realize that's a thing in Japan, at hostess clubs, but I didn't realize it had made its way to Minneapolis. Not impressed. It's great to have a nice conversation with someone, but that's just not the point of the club. I did not tip her again for the extra five-minute conversation. Maybe I would have bought her a drink or something, if I was actually staying around, but sheesh.
