Pretty much what this rick expected…

I haven’t been to Mons in years, probably 10-15 years. Whenever I visit the Tampa-St. Pete area I stay clear of the Dale Mabry clubs. But I was lured there for a *short* visit primarily due to the proximity of the airport.

Arrived around 4pm. The rather small parking had plenty of room. Entered and was told that the cover was $22. For some reason that torqued me off. I was expected a high cover and $20 wouldn’t have bothered me. Somehow, the extra $2 seemed gratuitous. But whatever…

Mons is small but the layout seemed totally different. Not sure if that is a redecoration during the many years since my last visit or just fuzzy memory. The stage is central and there are two steps up. I went to the right of the stage and sat at the stage. There were booths against the wall on that side as well. There are three ATM’s against the wall on this side as well. The club is relatively well lit.
