Pleasant, chill time

I tried Goldrush for the first time back in June, and decided to try again on a recent Thursday evening. As before, it was nearly dead when I arrived around 8:30pm, though it picked up more over the next couple of hours than it did my previous visit. The club was about a $20 ride-share from downtown. They have a decently sized parking lot; I don't recall if there was a fee. Cover was $10, and the door guy looked at me but didn't do a pat down.

It's nice inside, with a big stage, a couple of bars, pool tables, and a variety of seating. The music was loud, but not punishingly so. I sat at the back bar and got some food while watching some Thursday night NFL. The basic pub fare was fine, and reasonably priced. Later a small bottle of water was $5 or $6, a shot for a dancer was ~$9.

There were just a couple of dancers there when I arrived, occupied with their own food or other things. One dancer did go on stage for a while, and split my attention between her and the TV. Eventually more dancers trickled onto the floor. Nearly all were black, with a couple looking mixed or Latina. They varied from a few that were quite thick & heavy to a few that were skinny. Most were decent looking, depending on your tastes, and I thought a couple were hot. I'm not sure how many there ended up being by the time I left, because they were scattered about the club, some with patrons, some on phones, etc.. I think I saw at least a dozen.
