Not like the old Cabaret

Decided to stop by on a Friday night after seeing that this Club had reopened. I use to visit Cabaret back in the day and hoped that it was the same even after new management. This spot is located on a one way street in a sketchy area of Paterson. I was fortunate enough to get a parking spot right in front of the Club. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a musty smell to the club. Got a patdown by security and made my way to the bar. This club has a rectangular shaped and the bar and dance pole area is on the left side of the room. An ATM matchine is in front of the small bathroom at the rear right side of the room. The dancer change room and private dance areas are in a back area past the Bathroom. There were about 8 patrons there when I arrived around 11 PM. Mostly Hispanic males. I only saw three dancers waking around while one was on stage. The on stage performance left much to be desired. Back in the day the ladies didn’t dance on stage. All dancers are Hispanic (Dominican) and most spoke little to no English. I interacted with each one and had to use my Google translate. They all tried to get you to buy them a drink in which they get some type of voucher. Was disappointed to hear that since the new management at only lap dances are offered in the back. was quoted at $40 to $80 for a 8 to 10 minute dance in the vip area. I left after realizing that the quality of dancers had gone down and extras are no longer available
