Good place but dead on Tuesday evening
This review is from a visit a few months back. As a background, this club shares a parking lot with a separate club owned by the same guy. Totally different vibes: this club is has more of an Atlanta Pink Pony vibe while the sister club is going for a country western atmosphere. For example, it has a biscuit and gravy wrestling event. But, I digress.
As stated above, Rocket City Show Girls shares a parking lot with another club, however, there has always been plenty of parking. And, parking is free which is a bonus. I visited on a Tuesday at approximately 10 pm, and there was ample parking because as expounded on below, there was nobody there. To be fair, I have visited before when the place was comfortably full, but unfortunately this time was a bust.
The Place
In all honesty the exterior of the club has a run down appearance with a metal siding exterior the leaves much to be desired. Some might describe the exterior as “sketchy.” This night there was no security guard posted at the door. You walk in to a foyer type area where there is a counter to pay the entry fee. However, on this night there was no one at the counter. I waited a couple of minutes and just walked in and took a seat at the bar. I told the bartender that I needed to pay an entry fee but she told me not to worry about it. Normally, entry is 11 bucks. A beer (corona) was 7 bucks.
When you come in the main area, the bar is immediately to your right with I am guessing approximately 15-25 seats. The stage is a single large stage that runs down the the center of the room and has around three (I think) poles. If you are sitting at the bar facing the bar, your back will be to the stage so you have to turn your stool to see the stage clearly.
To the left of the room when you enter there are tables and booths along the wall. Behind that wall are the VIP booths. There was no VIP even offered for me this time, but the price I was quoted on a previous visit was 150 for 15 minutes and 300 for 30 minutes. I understand touching is allowed but generally no extras here due to strict oversight. No floor dance was offered, or sought, this time, but previously were quoted at 25.
A plus (for me at least) is there is no smoking here. Also the interior, while dark and generally dated, is at least kept up and clean. Overall, while the exterior is lacking, the interior does have a swanky appeal.
The People
On this night there was one bartender working, and I counted a grand total of exactly two other PLs besides me. The bartender was very personable and actually quite cute: maybe a 6-7.
There was one dancer in stage when I arrived. She appeared to be around 5’ 7’’ in height, attractive with an athletic figure and natural perky C/D cups, full nice shaped ass and long dark hair. Overall a solid 7. However, she did not seem very into her routine, I am guessing partly due to the lack of patrons. Once her routine was over she immediately went to the dressing room.
The next dancer was a slim shorter blonde with smaller perky tits, a great shapely but petite ass, and pretty face. She was very attentive, I would say 7/8. I tipped her during the stage dance, and when she was finished she sat next to me at the bar and started a conversation. She was very personable and was able to make intelligent conversation. We talked for about 20 minutes. It was still dead and one of the other PLs had since left. I decided it was time to go and she said “I don’t blame you.” I gave her a 20 and was on my way out.
Overall, obviously a dead night. However, I am sure all clubs experience similar nights so I would not judge this place too badly based on the one visit. However, I will warn those of you who are used to full niude clubs, you might be a little disappointed here, or at any Alabama club. While in the past the clubs seemed lax on the pastie rule, the last few times I visited all the girls were wearing pasties and the bottoms never come off. That said, there are some very attractive and fun dancers that do the best they can with the ridiculous laws.
If you are in the Huntsville area, this place is worth a try. You will only be out 11 for cover and I have had previous great experiences here.
