Solid by NYC Standards
Arrived on a Tuesday around 7-8pm. Staying at a hotel nearby for work so was an easy walk. Greeted at the door and asked to pay a cover (believe $20) - no wands or ID check. Then was escorted into the room asking if I had any preferences / etc — all the workers (ie, non-strippers) are very friendly and accommodating on the whole.
I hadn’t been back to Ricks since pre-Covid, as my usual go to in NYC has been G2K, which appears to be getting worse and no longer worth the Uber out to Queens IMO. The place still looks the same from what I a recall- open first floor with plenty of tables near the main stage, a bar in the back, another “side stage” near the bar and then more tables/chairs on opposite end of the main stage where most choose to do their LDs. Also a second floor which I never ventured to. I was seated at a table initially but you can move around pretty freely (as I did).
Domestic bottles were $12, but there is a happy hour that ends at either 7pm or 8pm where drinks are half off, so my first one was $6 which is pretty good for NYC. I paid cash so never dealt with any drink minimums. Also when I ended up getting my own drink at the bar the bartender gave free admission passes (pretty sure these are easy to come by so don’t leave without one if you plan on returning anytime soon).
