Latin Music, Spanish Hustle

A couple of sketchy individuals in the evening shadows outside the club so I was glad I walked in with a friend. Once inside you're patted down and the crowd, music and chatter level make the vibe there friendlier. There's a big variety of mostly Spanish-speaking dancers, some thin bodies, some thicker, some older and after a while, you're sure to get the hustle for a special dance in the back of the club. Very helpful if you can chat a little in Spanish with dancers. The advice we followed - don't act like a minor league rookie, talk with a few dancers to get dance specifics ironed out beforehand, don't be rushed by the hustle - seemed to be spot on if you want a sweeter moment and not a hurried, bad memory. A few dancers were named Maria - not sure what to make of that - if not real, I'd prefer a real name in case we made a return visit here to see a specific dancer again. All in all, early evening seems to be a worthwhile and good time to visit, especially if the entire shift of dancers has just arrived, as we saw this evening.
