The Bogarts/Henry's of the GTA
I had to struggle to title this review. I didn't want to crap all over people working hard to make a living, but I want PLs to know full well what to expect. People who go to Henry's or Bogarts (in my mind their interchangeable) know what they're getting into and many have a soft spot for these places (me, not so much). That being said, I respect this place for what it is but it is not a place that I would frequent -- it's not terrible, but for my hard earned dollar and I need more to meet my tastes.
The club physically looks like the owners tried to copy Cafe Atlantis, ran out of money, and painted everything black. The layout is roughly the same, except you need a code to go upstairs. There are other egress points, but it looks like those are for employees only. The bar is to the right as you walk in, large plenty of seating, and somewhat in the middle is the stage, slightly elevated. Diet coke is like $9. I don't think there is a DJ, but we were never there long enough to notice.
The talent here is rough. Like Bogarts, dancers are either past their prime (of what prime they might have had) or they are larger than average -- well if you follow the statistics, then I guess the talent here would be American average, fat nearing obesity. On average, slimmer than the fatties in the city of Toronto, but that's not saying much. Girls are mostly white, with two or three latinas or blacks. The hottest girl was this half-asian (Im going to guess half jap]anese/white) or a really light skinned asian. I would rate her a 6.5 (despite her looks, the lap dance would have been really good if she wasn't drunk). There were spinners here, but they were of the really young looking, over-pierced, over tattooed, blue hair, waify variety.
