I am finally getting out to a few more clubs in my city. I visited a couple and returned to one, hadn't bothered though to write reviews. This time around I wanted to write something about good 'ol Rick's near Herald Square. I'm concerned it might be considered a shill but honestly I had a good time here. I wasn't surprised by unseen costs. I think the average price for my (and my dancers) drinks was around $16 once I divided how much we had by how much I was charged. Lap dances are still the basic $20, not the $30 I'm seeing in farther flung (and less expensive) locales and no one asked for a tip. I don't even ask about VIP anymore because that is the one thing in the NY clubs that is consistently expensive, I mean Las Vegas Whale expensive, well maybe not that far, more like Wall Street Hedge Fund Trader expensive.

Now there have been allot of reviews about the layout including my own past ones. This time around I need to focus a bit on the staff. I don't think I've ever felt more welcome in a place. The doormen and cashier who took the cover charge asked my name and introduced themselves by name and offered/shook my hand. I know I've been to plenty of places where the staff seem just as friendly but there was something about my interaction here that seemed much more welcoming.

The host took me to the bar and introduced me to the bartender saying his name and more pleasantries followed. I ordered my drink, opened a tab and was promptly startled by a "Hola!" from a pair of dancers sitting on the stools next to me. Fun little chat followed and I got a couple of good full contact dances from one of them. I think there was openness to some touch in all the dances I got that evening but I don't really venture to that anymore. YMMV There were good amount of dancers present, weighted on Latinas, but still a good ethnic mix. Customers though were a bit thin. It was a Tuesday night after the holiday weekend and I loved the emptiness and the large dancer to customer ratio. I got dances from 5 different girls, none really lacking and the last went long because I was so enamored with her. On a more typical crowded night, I wouldn't be able to get that many never mind being able to find multiple places to park for a dance or the stage show. I stayed about an hour later than I had planned.
