Decent experience at Mary's

I was recently staying in downtown Portland a few blocks away from W. Burnside St. I decided to stop into Mary's club because it was a few blocks from my lodging.

Mary's is the iconic strip club that has been in Portland going back to the 50's if I am not mistaken. They recently changed locations to a new building. The bartender told me that the old building is now condemned. Honestly this was a good thing because the old location was tiny and was a complete dive. The new building is bigger and has a a much cleaner vibe to it.

I stopped in on a Sunday evening around 7 or 8 Probably. There is a bar on the right when you enter and a stage to the left. There is also seating and video poker scattered throughout the club. No cover charge. They had about 4 or 5 girls performing with about a max of 3 girls per shift working. I had arrived right at shift change so two new girls showed up. I guess they are strict here, when the new girls show up the dancers from the previous shift have to clear out pretty quickly. I just sipped beers and would throw several dollars at the dancers every now and than. The girls would get up on the stage in front of the bar and dance for a few song sets. They were for the most part your typical alternative Portland variety. I would say the average hovered somewhere near the 6-7 mark in terms of looks. I should add that this is a full nude club and the dancers had no problem baring it all.
