Nice club with pretty women, but confusingly mixed mileage on dances

Vivid is in midtown Manhattan. The entrance sends you down some stairs immediately. When I arrived around 10pm on a Wednesday there was nobody at the door so I walked in without paying a cover. It's a nicely appointed club with comfortable furniture that's in good shape. There's a seating area near a small stage to start, then a narrower area with a bar and a few more seats. The club is not large, though there was at least one floor above (a dancer said it's where "special" people go through a back door to avoid attention or something). A bottle of water was $10.

When I arrived there were very few other patrons, but at least a dozen dancers, probably more. The dancers were quite attractive, and both ethnically and physically diverse. Several were tall, thin, and leggy. Others were curvy, and a few were sort of cute girl-next-door. A couple were gorgeous, a couple others were dramatically artificial.

The stage performances were mediocre. One or two dancers were a bit more interesting to watch, but effort was generally pretty low (perhaps understandable given the small, low-key crowd). Dancers got topless on stage.
