Stale Smoke Smell and Mirages
Pulled into Bogarts about 10pm a few Fridays ago. There’s free parking in 3 different lots but l always use the front paved lot. Walked in to the standard smell of stale smoke and got waived past the $5 cover with my veterans card. The layout of the place is kinda funky. There’s a raised platform with seating near the main stage and one satellite stage. There’s high tops between the bar seating and the front of the main stage and then another funky side stage by the DJ booth and bathrooms.
You get a ticket when you pay cover you’re supposed to give to the waitress/bartender. Drinks are reasonably priced. Think I paid like $7 for a sugar free red Bull and a vodka tonic I bought for a dancer was like $9-10. It is cash only here. I’ve heard the food is good but have never tried it.
There was a pretty low number of dancers for a Saturday night. Maybe 10-12 at most. Only a couple I wound deem attractive. Often times there’s what I would call a “mirage”. For example there was a very lean dancer with a good body but when I got close enough to really see her well, her face was kinda hit and her age really showed. That’s a pretty good summary of how it goes here as far as talent is concerned. Even the good ones are a bit of a mirage.
