Rookie Mistakes

Visiting Philadelphia to see friends and after reading reviews decided to pay a visit to Purple Orchid.

Arrived shortly after midnight and I was patted down by the bouncer and paid $5 entry fee.

The layout has been described several times. It basically a circular bar with a dance pole in the middle.

Dancers were majority black women. Only saw one light skinned dancer but I couldn’t tell her ethnicity. Mongers were entirely black men except one middle age white male. I ordered a Hennessey and coke which costs me $18 and I asked the bartender to keep the $2 change.
