First visit in several years

Years ago DV8 was one of my favorite Portland clubs, before I stopped clubbing when the pandemic hit. I haven't been to many clubs since the lockdowns, but couldn't resist stopping in at DV8 as I was in the area this Monday afternoon. The club layout hasn't change much, with 2 small pool tables and video poker machines when you first walk in, the bar to your right, and two stages (though only one in use on this afternoon). The parking lot is pretty small but is easy when it's not too busy, and it's out of view of the busy Powell Blvd since the lot is behind the building. No cover charge on this visit and no doorman or bouncer. The place was not very busy (around 3pm) with only about 8 customers. Drink prices have increased since my last visit with a microbrew at $7, and the bartender was by far the hottest girl in the place with a very tight tube top and shiny yoga pants. The dancers on this visit were thicker than I was expecting to see, though there were two slimmer tall girls who caught my eye. I counted about 5 or 6 dancers. Typical for DV8, all the dancers had tattoos and piercings, and one of the tall girls was sporting a jeweled butt plug which she proudly displayed at the rack for an up-close inspection. I was surprised they didn't do much pole work, but all of the dancers did climb over the rack for some nice lap grinding and tits in the face which was pleasant and made up for the somewhat uncomfortable plastic chairs at the rack. Dancers did 2-song sets and were nude by the 2nd song, even with only 1 or 2 customers at the rack. I did not partake in any private dances on this visit so I'm not sure of the current rates or options, but I did observe that the dance booths now have shiny silver curtains that you can't see through compared to the sheer white curtains I remember in the past, so I assume these new curtains provide a little more privacy than before. Hopefully my next visit will have more of the slim spinners I usually expect to see there, and then I'll try out the new dance booths.
