Looks like the old OG but regrettably this is bad!

This is my first time in Vegas in 7 years. A lot has changed in the city, some good and some bad. As far as Scs go, so far it looks like it's all for the worse at least for me. I don’t consider myself a hardcore patron, someone who is always looking for lots of mileage in the VIPs. I’d like to watch attractive women take off the clothes, perhaps do some impressive dance work (pole work, etc.) while I spend a couple or so hours with drinks (often beers) relaxing, talking to a few interesting dancers and maybe getting a few dances if the mood and the place hits me the right way. I’m also not a big spender (as you might guess.)

Most of the TUSCL Vegas reviews have been discouraging over the last few years – I check them once in a while. But it seemed like the Hippo got some positive write-ups and I noticed some references to the old OG where you could hit the afternoon happy hour, drink some decently priced beers and drinks and chill out watching hot dancers on multiple stages. And after a while you could enjoy some decent twenty dollars dancers. Perhaps my memories are a bit rosier than the reality, I do remember some days that were duds – all the dancers seemed bored to death – especially as the OG tailed off before closing about 2016. But while the OG was hit or miss, there were quite a bit more hits and real duds.

So, I stopped in at about 6:15 pm on a recent Wednesday. Door check was an ID scan and a polite pat down. The entrance way didn’t seem to have changed much and the $10 cover charge didn’t seem too bad (based on what I’ve been reading.) After that, it was all downhill. The late afternoon sun was Vegas bright and before my eyes could adjust, Sassy grabbed me and started heading for “her table.” Nope, I’ll just sit at the bar, thanks. I sat at the bar and she took the chair to my right. I asked the barmaid about the advertised $20 buckets of beer. She hemmed a bit and didn’t really answer. “So, do you still offer the $20 buckets?” Her reply “Well I can give you a bucket but the price will be the price of each beer times the number of beers.” I declined and settled on one Coors for $8 and a dollar tip. My generosity was quickly waning. Sassy introduced me to her “friend” and started pushing a private room with both of them. “Well, what will that run me?” “Oh, it’s simple, there are just 3 choices – 30 minutes for about $300.” For each of you I wondered but didn’t get to ask. The friend launched into an involved sales pitch about Hippo being open for 24 hours so it's a lot cheaper now than at night, etc. etc. As soon as the one on my left finished talking, Sassy on the right launched into 80 questions, some seeming a bit intrusive. The music was loud, they both had strong accents and my hearing instead of what it used to be so it got pretty muddled. “Wait, I interrupted, there doesn’t seem to be anyone in here today and no one’s dancing.” Sassy’s answer – “There is a DJ starting at about 9 and then there will be dancing.” But that’s hours away, well we can dance for you (which is going to cost me I’m betting.) Sassy is 40ish with large (enhanced I’ll bet) boobs that are leaning on my arm and says she’s from Brazil originally.
