The Ritz is back!

I was visiting Houston for a few days after having lived here some years ago. I returned to some of my old haunts and will submit reviews for a couple.

At one time Ritz was my favorite club. Up until the deal with the city in about 2010 this was a pretty much anything goes club. After the deal all the private rooms and the couches upstairs were removed, cameras were installed and extras stopped. Now it appears that the rules have been relaxed a lot.

The club is sited along the Gulf Freeway just south of Hobby Airport. Getting into the parking lot frequently involves holding my breath that I’m not rear ended when I slow down to enter the lot. The layout of the club itself includes a middling sized room with two stages, one with a single pole and the other with two. Dancers rotate through the three poles for each of their sets.
