Ultimately, no dancers
I was in The Valley on my way to Monterrey and had planned to meet another girl at Boom Boom Club but I wanted to check out Jaguars first since I had not been in some years. There was a lettered marquee that read Ultimate Thursday and about six cars in the parking lot at 8:30pm, so it looked promising.
Paid $25 cover at the door and took in a six pack. The place was empty of customers, but was set up nicely. Brightly lit, helium balloons and ice buckets on every table. Nice high center stage and some smaller side stages. But no girls dancing anywhere. Some stirrings of activity behind closed doors. I asked a young guy walking by how many girls were working and he said there were three, and that they would start on the stage soon. I also asked what Ultimate Thursday meant, and he said there were no dance specials or two for ones or anything else that he was aware of.
It appeared no one was going to come out until more customers entered. I was pretty much at the mercy of circumstances, and after half an hour of watching a blank stage I took my beer and headed three miles west to Boom Boom. I considered asking for a refund, but no one was even at the front desk as I left. I honestly don’t know how these clubs stay in business.
