Weds Early Afternoon Emptiness
I was visiting LA and on my way from downtown to the burbs so I took the opportunity to drop in to a new spot. The day and time were far from ideal but it was the only opportunity I was going to get on my trip. I went in with what I thought were very reasonable/low expectations and even those went barely satisfied.
The Odd Ball Cabaret is located in an industrial area, just up the road from Synn Gentlemen's Club (North Hill). Parking and the entrance is off the street through an archway. There was plenty of street parking in the area as well. I arrived early in the afternoon (a little under an hour after opening) and was happy to find that they don't charge cover until 1pm. I walked in to find a very dark space, a small slightly elevated stage, a tiny bar, one customer, and not a girl in sight. I grabbed a Red Bull and wandered the premises to get a feel for the place. The main area is pretty small. The small stage was positioned in the middle of the space with a knee wall and a few chairs around it. As you face the stage from the entrance there was a slightly elevated seating area off to the right of the stage and regular tables/chairs to the left of the stage. The ceiling isn't particularly high which contributes making this club feel especially small. I'd guess that if there were more than 30 patrons in there it would start feeling crowded. After a bit of a wait a thick Latina by the name of Crystal came out of the back to make her rounds to the now massive crowd of 3. For a dancer I'd rate her a 5/6 as far as looks good, but she knew how to accentuate her assets and had a friendly personality. After chatting for a short while I was ready to get a lap dance and take my leave of Odd Ball Cabaret, most likely for the first, last, and only time.
The dances were $35 for 1, maybe 3 for $90, and $160 for 15 min VIP. We went back for a regular dance. With so few patrons in the house we had the dance area all to ourselves, but Crystal still led me back to a nicely isolated corner which is always appreciated. She put on an engaging show and made sure that I enjoyed the girls. All in all my trip to Odd Ball Cabaret was about as good as I could hope for but not enough to convince we to ever give it another chance when there are so many other clubs in LA to check out if I'm ever down that way again.
