A meh time at The Booby Trap

I visited this place on a Friday afternoon during Spring Break and it was packed. I immediately headed to the bar and could barely get a seat. The bar is U-shaped and can fit about maybe 10-15 people. The drinks were reasonably priced and the waitresses don’t press for tips but of course I made sure to tip because I know they don’t make much.

As for the dancers, pretty much all of them were Cubans. There was maybe 1 black girl out of 30 dancers in total and the rest were Cubans. Be prepared to speak Spanish otherwise you’re not going to be able to have a conversation with any of them.

After about 15 minutes of sitting at the bar and being asked for dances, I pretty much came to the conclusion that here if you don’t speak English, you’re pretty much better off just getting dances because there isn’t much room for a conversation due to the language barrier.
