This is a follow-up to my review a month or two earlier. That was a Tuesday, this was a Thursday.

It’s on 33rd St. across the street from the Empire State Bldg. (220 feet away from the SW corner of it). It’s a block and a half from Penn Station/Madison Square Garden.

There were a couple of well-dressed doormen who size you up before they escort you to the hat check girl where you pay your $20 cover and hand over your coat. If you had any foresight, you would have printed out a free pass after signing up for their newsletter from their web site. I had a free pass given to me years ago because I paid for a good time then. I left my bag of NY Boat Show souvenirs with the hat check girl. The doorman will escort you inside to help you choose a table and/or a girl to sit with you. I headed to the bar instead to get a lay of the land first. I started out with a Corona for $7, happy hour pricing. At 8pm their cash registers change the prices to non-Happy Hour prices; the bartender has no leeway when the clock strikes 8. I ordered a Rick’s Signature Burger at the bar for $22. It was very good. https://www.ricksnewyork.com/menu/
