Springfield - Couple Review
Springfield, IL. Went to Showgirls as a couple a Saturday night. Arrived a little after 10pm and were both charged a $15 cover, did signup for “free” cover on the website, but they only took $10 off — she did not look at the email with the code, but told me to delete it. Entrance is an adult shop. Clean restrooms. The “bar” sold red bulls, soda and water. This is the same level as the lap dance area. Next to the “bar” were tables with chairs, didn’t sit there, but seemed to have a view of the main (aka only) stage. Plenty of parking. Area is nearby hotels and seems safe.
On the main dance floor there were plenty of chairs around a wooden ledge about a foot from the stage. More chairs around the parameter of the floor. The crowd was mainly a large bachelor party, with a rented yellow school bus, all wearing matching hats. At least two of the group brought their spouses. They were throwing lots of singles and were clearly going in and out of the parking lot drinking. The groom-to-be was brought on stage and spanked in a fifteen minute long ordeal. One of the party members openly propositioned one of the dancers, but it felt like a drunk shot in the dark. The dancer attempted to turn it into a dance to no avail, and they all left. Nobody in the party got any dances. After they left, it seemed like every dancer took a 30 min break. Its cannot be stressed enough — about 15 mins between performances — and it was so empty. It felt odd sitting with the remaining five or so people just kinda wondering what was going on.
Dancers; there were maybe ten, but only saw all of them at once during the bachelor party show. Before the bachelor party show we caught maybe five other performances. After, we saw maybe two performers. All the dancers got topless and two removed bottoms. They have an odd setup where the stage is separated by a foot between a bar parallel to the stage, so the dancer could walk on the floor between the stage. She would work on the bar table for the tippers, doing normal stage things to folks giving $1s. When the bottoms were off they would not get close, only staying on the stage on the other side of the walkway. 50/50 white and AfAm, most were not appealing, but there were a few 6s.
Closer to midnight there was another fifteen or so minute lull in action when a dancer we both liked - fit with long wig and nice naturals did two songs. Immediately after we asked for a dance. We did one couple dance, solo $30 so charged us $60, tipped $10. The dance was average. She took off everything and we could roam everywhere but the P. The dancer moved me to a chair and my wife was on the love seat. Not sure if this was on purpose, but my back blocked the only visible camera pointed at us. The dance was fun, but it was clear the dancer felt the night was ending, she didn’t push for a second dance. On the way out overhead two dancers complaining about the bachelor party and saw another ordering a ride share.
