The bad and the good of the day shift scene

Had about an hour to kill between meetings right on South Congress so I stopped in to check this place out, hadn’t been here in a long time since the Expose days. Unfair to compare it on this occasion though since it was a day shift.

Got the club around 1pm on a Saturday. I know the day shift scene in Austin is a little lackluster but I was still disappointed when I got there. Have only been once before and it was years ago on a weekend night so I didn’t really have a frame of reference.

Club is dark. Bar to the right as soon as you walk in. No cover for me during the day so I can’t speak to that. Main stage has two poles. There are satellite stages but none were being used this day. I was one of what looked like five patrons. There ware 5-7 dancers. Some Latina, two AA, one Asian. Very low hustle here. I had a beer ($8) and started watching a game at the bar.
