The Pony is Deja Vu all over again
Spent an afternoon gambling at one of the local casinos; lost and finally decided to end the day at The Pony to get at least a little something for my remaining disposable dollars.
I went to this place quite a bit when it was Tuxedoes, but much less so when it was Deja Vu. Tuxedoes was much better than Deja Vu, IMO. More dancers of better quality, and better contact in the lap dance area. In short, I'd definitely say that The Pony is indeed very, very similar to Deja Vu, but I was hoping it would be an upgrade.
It's BYOB, just like in the past. Cover charge is up to $20, which is a sizeable increase. Lap dances are $30, also a significant increase. (Forgot to ask about VIP because I wasn't interested.) They did do some remodeling. The most notable to me was the seating, especially the couches in the lap dance area. It's a fairly large, but open, area to to back, with about 7-8 couches, and it's monitored by staff.
I was there shortly after opening, so the dancers were slow to arrive and get onstage. I did some tipping at the rail and was looking for only a good option or two for a lap dance, since my funds were short after my gambling earlier in the day. Only a handful of dancers were available early on; most were AA. My first choice was a slender 20 y/o AA who gave a pretty good grind and allowed touching except at the kitty. She was personable, but nothing special, and she only went topless. I was unclear about her name; I think it was something like Kennedy, but I had difficulty hearing it and wasn't sure even after asking for her to repeat it.
My second choice was also AA, Coco. She went fully nude, was very friendly, and encouraged touching, except for the kitty. Of the two, Coco was quite a bit more to my liking.
