Recommended but with two caveats: limited mileage and dancers focused on "regulars"

This is not a review of a single visit but is based on about 4-5 visit over the past six months.

Angels is located east of Kalamazoo on M 96 (Kings Highway) in a wooded area surrounded by the flood plains from the Kalamazoo River. The geographic location is relevant only in pointing out that there are no other buildings close to the club, mostly wet lands. The club has a paved parking lot that is well lit and monitored by cameras. Even though it is isolated, the area and the club feel quite safe.

If Architecture Digest did a feature on strip club exteriors, Angels could be one on the featured clubs, with stylized statues of female torsos and flaming cauldrons (visible only at night) on the exterior facade. The club looks impressive from the outside but on the inside it is a relatively small rectangle with a ceiling height that does not allow a very tall stripper pole to be installed. Tables and booths surround the stage and there is a well stocked bar on the back wall of the club. The club is clean and generally well maintained. A variety of music is played with rock being the most common genre. The music volume is not so loud as to preclude a conversation.
