A Very Mellow Saturday

After a not great visit at Kittens, I decided to swing by. This place has always been very hit or miss on weekend days. Sometimes it feels like a Wednesday and sometimes I feel devious. Not today. This felt very slow — came in on an empty stage. One dancer for two songs. Followed by stage maintenance. Followed by…

So six songs, stage was occupied one-third of the time. Dancer on stage seemed to be trying but hasn’t developed a stage presence yet. Wore a one piece Santa outfit (sort of like a one piece bathing suit with fur trim) the entire time. I felt like I was in a depressing Christmas movie where nobody wanted to be there. If I had stayed longer, perhaps it would have improved. But I honestly didn’t have it in me.

Dancers were more active and engaged than Kittens. The second stage had someone warming up. Some of the chairs oriented to stage one, other to stage two. No alcohol. Parking lot huge and mostly empty. Probably five customers and four or five dancers. Didn’t visit the restroom, the dance area, or vip. $15 plus tip for entry. So ended my Saturday with $360 still in my pocket.
