Steep financial learning curve (part 3 of 3)--dead club early Thursday evening
I haven’t been to Detroit area strip clubs since 2005. I was in town for business but it didn’t take very long, so a return to my old stomping grounds was overdue. I visited The Landing Strip, Flight Club, and Legends over three days, and will post reviews under each club.
I’ve never been to Legends before, but the reviews on TUSCL seemed promising, so I decided to pay a visit Thursday around 7 PM. I was thinking the club was in the 8 mile area, but it is actually in the heart of downtown Detroit. Valet was expensive at $16 (twice that at Flight Club); but the nearby parking lot wanted to charge me $20 to park, so I chose the valet. I entered and the place was dead – there were only about four patrons sitting at the bar. There was one dancer at the stage, and the dancers I saw were sevens at the most. But the club is big and has three floors, so it must be popular at some time for some things. It also curiously seems to want to appeal to both upscale and blue-collar clientele – its décor seems to be a mixture of upscale and blue-collar dive. It was dinner time, so I decided to eat dinner and see if anything developed. Nothing new developed, so I left after finishing dinner.
If anyone wants to suggest Detroit area clubs other than this one, Flight Club, or The Landing Strip that might be worth a visit and have some dancers in the 9-10 range please suggest them in the comments.
