Best in Bakersfield

OK, let me start by saying that I’d been a pretty regular patron at all three of the clubs here in Bakersfield, pre-COVID. I’ve decided to post a recent review for all three of them, so if you read these lines somewhere else, I’m not a bot, I’m just trying to be consistent.

Prior to VOVID, the Kitty was pretty much my #3 out of 3 locally. I’m not really sure why I was off of it; I guess it was just a kind of intangible “feel” about the place. That’s all changed.

I really feel that this place has rebounded from the pandemic shut down better than either of the other two clubs. It feels much friendlier, the dancers are nearly all consistently gorgeous, and the cost of dances is more than reasonable.

The club layout is pretty much as it’s been described in other reviews here – two-story, open to the ceiling, with the main stage on the ground floor and a mezzanine that wraps around two sides of the club with booth for dances. The basic dance booths are open to the room, but not really visible unless you’re walking by. Still, not really any privacy. The upstairs area is kind of well-lit – not bright, but not so dark that you can’t what your dancer of choice is up to.

I was there most recently on a Saturday night. Got in at around 9:00 PM, and the place was pretty quiet, with only about 6 ladies in sight. The DJ did mention that more were on their way but running a little late. By the time I left around 11:00 they were up to about 15 dancers, which is what I usually expect to see.
